Eckertsau and it's five Kadaster districts are embedded in the amazing landscape of the Donau-Auen national resort. The Donau-Auen region has been the emperors hunting grounds for centuries. From know on is the Donau-Auenregion a protected natural resort. At the heart of this breath taking landscape in Au is a jewel, the barock style hunting castle of Eckertsau. Guided walks through the Au show the customers how impressive the biggest rivers of central europe really are. The capital, Wien, with it's culture and activities is not far away. Small, cosy resort with 1'200 inhabitants, 40 km west from Wien. Bratislawa 20 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Wien Schwechat (VIE) 30 km.
