Climate

This region lies south of Eifel, between the Rhine, the Mosel and the Sarre, with average height mountains reaching an altitude of 816 m at Erbeskop. It is cut by the enclosing valleys where many small towns and villages are hidden, whereas the Hohenruck mountain chain is mostly covered with forests and greenery.
