Climate
Situated between the Pyrenees and the mouth of the Rhône, Languedoc-Roussillon boasts 200 km of coastline with long sandy beaches. Ancient cities, such as Sete, Agde and Perpignan have evolved over the 1970s and are today modern holiday centres. All these centres offer a vast choice of entertainment and sporting activities. Camargue has a large protected nature park, horses running freely, and without doubt is the most well known region of Languedoc. As for the hinterland, there are many towns and sites worth visiting as well.
