Market town situated in Val di Santerno half way between Florence (52 km) and Bologna (58 km). It is the 8th biggest town in Tuscany and borders with Barberino del Mugello, Borgo San Lorenzo, Palazzuolo sul Senio and Scarperia. Monterenzio, Castel del Rio, Monghidoro, Castiglione de Pepoli are also quite near but in the Emilian Romagna region. The highest point is Montoggioli which is 1.290 m high.
